Privacy Policy
Effective 4 September 2026This policy describes how Jura handles information through jura.co.ke and the Jura add-in for Microsoft Word.
Information we process
We process Microsoft account identity details used to authenticate you; subscription, billing-reference and device-session information; support communications; service telemetry; and the matter content you choose to submit for Jura features. Payment-card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by Jura.
How information is used
We use information to authenticate members, operate and secure workspaces, provide drafting and research features, process subscriptions, diagnose faults, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Storage, security and sharing
Jura uses encryption in transit and access controls based on authenticated workspace membership. Uploaded evidence is encrypted before storage; the service currently retains the decryption material needed to make that evidence available to authorised workspace members. Information may be processed by infrastructure, identity, AI and payment providers only as needed to deliver the service or comply with law.
Retention and control
We retain account and work-product data while the service is provided and for the periods needed for security, recovery, accounting and legal obligations. You may request access, correction, export or deletion through the assistance area at jura.co.ke. Some billing or security records may need to be retained by law.
Microsoft data
Microsoft identity information is used for sign-in and account authorization. Jura does not use Microsoft user data for advertising.
Changes
Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Questions and privacy requests can be submitted through Jura Assistance.
